11 October 2026 at 12:00 Fellowship and Study
Venue: The Yews, 55 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath RH16 1BJ
On 11 October, after Meeting in Haywards Heath, Ditchling and Haywards Heath Friends will be joined by Quakers in Britain staff for a 90-minute session exploring nonviolence and assessing risk when taking action for peace.
We will focus first on a reflective discussion on what you consider to be nonviolence, and then think through different types of risk and how to decide what you feel comfortable with. There is an option to have an extra 30 minutes on deescalation, talking to the police, knowing your legal rights, supporting activists in your meetings or working with non- pacifists.
All welcome.
